Toshihiro Oshima

Formerly of Euphonic, Inc. as co-founder and executive since 1987 and was behind a host of major TV commercials and film projects as a 3D designer, director, and producer. As CEO of the subsidiary company Plexus co.,ltd. in 2016 he collaborated with photographer Daido Moriyama to co-produce a video installation for the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain in Paris Dog and Mesh Tights as soundscape designer. Recently, he shot and edited video pieces for artist Tatsuo Miyajima's Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum show. For her first solo exhibition outside of Japan, in 2020, he collaborated with contemporary artist Tokyo Rumando and created a visual piece, The Story of S for Museum Folkwang, in Essen Germany.
He is obsessed with image creation and has personally held several photo exhibitions since 2004. He continues to explore the expressive possibilities from the fusion of art and technology.

1987年から株式会社ユーフォニックの創業者として企業映像、テレビCM、劇場用映画を始め様々なプロジェクトに撮影、3Dデザイナー、ディレクター、プロデューサーとして担当。関連会社であるプレクサス株式会社の代表取締役として、2016年パリのカルティエ財団現代美術館で写真家の森山大道の映像インスタレーション作品「犬と網タイツ」でサウンドスケープデザインを施す。近年では美術家の宮島達男の映像作品で撮影・編集を担当。2020年にドイツ、エッセンのフォルクワング美術館で行われたコンテンポラリーアーティストTokyo Rumandoの海外初個展「The Story of S」でコラボレーションアーティストとして共同映像作品を発表。
