Moriyama Daido: Memory of Light
(Sound and Image Installation)
An immersive projection installation that encompasses seven walls with more than 3000 works from the every issue of Daido Moriyama's signature "Record" series, at the "Daido Moriyama: Memories of Light" exhibition held at the Shimane Museum of Art from April 12th to June 26th, 2023. With the support of Akio Nagasawa Gallery and the Daido Moriyama Photographic Foundation, we designed and constructed the exhibit.
Daido Moriyama (b. 1938-) is a globally recognized photographer, winning numerous international awards and has held many major exhibitions worldwide. The exhibition "Daido Moriyama: Memories of Light" is a condensed record of 60 years of his work, presenting photographs with the overwhelming power of life illuminated from depths of an urban abyss. This installation concludes the final part of the entire exhibition, leaving a lasting impression of the essence of Moriyama's work from the present to the future.

島根県立美術館にて2023年4月12日から6月26日まで開催の「森山大道 光の記憶」展において森山大道氏のライフワークとも言える「記録」シリーズの1号から最新号までの3000点余りの作品を7面全周包囲型のプロジェクションのインスタレーションとして実施。Akio Nagasawa Galleryと森山大道写真財団の支援の元、展示インスタレーションのデザイン・施工を行なった。
写真家・森山大道（1938～）は、数々の国際的な賞に輝き、次々と大規模な国際展を開催して、今や世界の頂点に立つアーティスト。「森山大道 光の記憶」展は、漆黒の闇から照射される光に満ちた生命体のような圧倒的な強さをもつ写真を発表し続けた森山の60年を凝縮していて、記録のスライドインスタレーションは展示全体の最後の部分を締めくくるかたちで森山作品の現在から未来への脈動を余韻として感じさせるものとなった。
