From a temple overlooking the sunken ruins of post eco-disaster Kyoto, an old priest tells a young girl the story of a Hospitaller Knight who was marooned on Japanese shores over a thousand years ago. Nearing death, the knight is saved by a beautiful woman and lives happily with her until his love for her breeds a suspicion that he cannot overcome. He breaks his vow to her and wanders the land in solitary, everlasting atonement. Filmed on location in Yakushima, Japan - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With Chiaki Kuriyama and Mickey Curtis.

未来。地球温暖化により水没した京都の街を見下ろす寺で、老僧が少女に遙か昔に起きた出来事を語り始める。千年前、十字軍の騎士達が海岸に漂着する。飢えて瀕死状態だった騎士ルイは、不思議な女アマヤに助けられ幸せな時間を送っていた。しかしルイはアマヤを愛するがゆえに彼女に疑念を抱き、二人の掟を破ってしまう。ルイの前から姿を消すアマヤ。そしてルイはひとり「償いの旅」に出る。～全篇屋久島にてロケーション撮影～ 出演：栗山千明、ミッキー・カーチス、その他。
