Photographer and contemporary artist Tokyo Rumando's first solo exhibit abroad held at Museum Folkwang in Essen, Germany. Since 2005, after a long period of being a model for other photographers, she directed her camera towards herself, exploring the phantom reality between the "subjective" and "objective" self. In The Story of S, she presented a mixed media installation exploring new territory as a media artist. The work was a collaborative effort of more than five years with Kaukokaipuu Kobo's Toshihiro Oshima.

写真家、コンテンポラリー・アーティストTokyo Rumandoによる初の海外個展「Story of S」。本展示では過去に被写体や演技者としての経験から始まり、2005年以降自らを被写体として独学で写真作品制作を始めて主観と客観の錯綜するアバンギャルドな作品づくりをしつつ、並行して5年以上の歳月をかけて制作し続けた映像作品を披露。写真と映像の実験的融合で新たな表現の領域を模索した展示となった。
